The ECI announced the Lok Sabha election schedule in seven phases. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar introduced the 'Know Your Candidate' app, empowering voters with candidate information and cVigil for complaints.
Announcing the Lok Sabha poll schedule here on Saturday, the ECI provided details on the country's voter list, polling booths, the number of EVMs to be used, and the security protocols to be implemented for the peaceful conduct of the polls, among other details.
As per ECI, the voting in Odisha will be held on May 13, May 20, May 25 and on June 1.
While addressing the media on dates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Kumar gave a sneak peek into the electors' number, polling stations and more.

Nakul Nath (Chhindwara), Vaibhav Gelot (Jalore), and Gaurav Gogoi (Jorhat) are sons of former Congress Chief Ministers Kamal Nath (Madhya Pradesh), Ashok Gehlot (Rajasthan), and late Tarun Gogoi (Assam).
A lump sum amount of Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh has been approved for teaching and non-teaching staff, respectively, at the time of retirement at 60.
On Saturday, BJP's election in-charge for Odisha Vijaypal Singh Tomar categorically stated that no BJD leader met him.
AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had appointed Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj as the party's in-charge for Odisha.
Mishra further said that Odisha will achieve the development milestones set by CM Naveen Patnaik and a decision will be taken keeping in mind whatever is needed for the state and in the interest of the people.
Ahead of the upcoming general elections 2024, if an alliance is formed, it will be after a gap of 15 years that the BJD will return to the NDA fold. However, it is still unclear whether the parties will come to any consensus for any alliance.
