"Indian team has lot of match winners now. Of course, captain (Virat Kohli) leads them from the front with the openers Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan," Raj said in a video posted on Twitter.
She was being interviewed by the British High Commission in Hyderabad.
"But we also have fast bowlers like (Jasprit) Bumrah and the spinners. But overall I think the team which post a big total, and the bowlers are able to do the job to constrain those runs is the team that is going to win. But we do have a lot of depth. We have the expertise of Dhoni in the side. So I can't pick one player, but India definitely has a lot of match winners," she added.
Asked which team is going to win, Mithali said India will be hot favourites.
"India are going in as favourites. They have been doing very well in the one-dayers and in other formats in the recent past.
Mithali also added that England have a good chance of winning their first World Cup title as they are in red hot form.
"But I cannot rule out the home team. They had some 10 to 15 victory streak in the one dayers. They will have the home conditions. But having said that, I think as an Indian I will root for India," she said.
India will gear up for the showpiece event with warm up matches against New Zealand and Bangladesh on May 25 and 28 respectively before taking on South Africa in their campaign opener on June 5 at Southampton.
Speaking to IANS, sources in the know of developments said that it didn't look very rosy after the swelling refused to subside.
"Patrick Farhart has done the initial treatment and Dhawan had iced the thumb for quite a bit, but the swelling just didn't subside and that is when we decided that this needed a scan," the source said.
Going into the game against Australia at The Oval, Dhawan didn't have the best of starts to this year's World Cup, but back at his favourite hunting ground, the opener looked in fine spirit as he hit his first hundred of the tournament.
Speaking after the game, the opener had said: "We are happy with the result as it was a great team effort. It's a great sign for our team and I'm happy with this man of the match award. We are very happy with the performance overall."
In an interview to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pandya shared his feelings while representing the country at the prestigious quadrennial event, saying that playing for India is his "life" and it "means everything" to him.
"(Playing for) India means everything to me, this is my life. I am someone who plays the game with love and passion and loves challenges. For two-three years, I have been preparing for this (World Cup) so the time has come," Pandya told ICC.
He also said he still remembers the night when India won the World Cup in 2011 after the Men in Blue defeated Sri Lanka in the finals on April 2 at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Chasing 275, Gautam Gambhir and M.S. Dhoni had played brilliant knocks with the then captain finishing off in style, hitting a six over long on off the bowling of Nuwan Kulasekara.
"On July 14, I want the Cup in my hand. Even when I think of it (2011 win), it gives me goosebumps. Playing the World Cup 2019 has been a dream and my teammates are my brothers. My plan now is simple: win the World Cup, and I'm hoping that and I expect that from myself," said Pandya.
The 25-year-old also jokingly said that there was no pressure on the team as only "1.5 billion" people are expecting the Men in Blue to win the World Cup for the third time.
"No pressure because only maybe 1.5 billion people are expecting that, so no pressure at all," Pandya said.
India's tie against New Zealand got washed off without a ball being bowled.
Dhawan suffered the injury after being hit by a Pat Cummins' delivery during his 109-ball 117 knock against Australia.
Pant, who was initially ignored for Dinesh Karthik when the 15-member squad was picked, has been named as his standby and is expected to fly in to England as cover.
"Shikhar will be in a plaster for a couple of weeks, we'll assess and see. Hopefully he'll be available for the later half and the semi-finals. He's motivated, we wanted to keep him back," Kohli said after the tie against the Kiwis was called off.
This was the fourth such game in the ongoing tournament that has not yielded any result.
So far, the South Africa-West Indies, Sri Lanka-Pakistan and Sri Lanka-Bangladesh games have all been washouts.
The ICC has said in a statement that it will be a logistical mayhem to keep reserve days for games in the group stage.
"Sensible decision to not play, given the outfield wasn't fully fit. One point not a bad thing for sides that have won all their games so far. So we'll take it," said Kohli.
India next take on arch-rival Pakistan which is always a big-ticket clash on Sunday.
"For Sunday, we know we're there when it comes to the mindset...just about going out there and having a game plan, executing it. As soon as you enter the field, it's calm and relaxed. The atmosphere from the outside, for the first time, it's a bit intimidating, but we'll look to execute well," said Kohli.
"It's been competitive for years, it's a marquee event all over the world, honour to be a part of the big game. Brings out the best in all of us," Kohli said.
The no result meant New Zealand (7 points) stay on top while India (5 points) edge ahead of England (4 points) to the third spot with Australia (6 points) staying second.
The Kiwis are yet to lose a game with three wins before this, while Virat Kohli and Co. have beaten South Africa and Australia to start their campaign on a high.
"This team you've led has played the kind of cricket to make all of us proud, @imVkohli. It was a fantastic journey that fell a few yards short, but I'm sure you boys will pick yourselves up soon. Very proud of Team India," Chhetri tweeted.
India came into the tournament as one of the favourites to lift the crown. Throughout the group stages of the 10-team event, the Men in Blue played true to their favourites tag by winning seven of the eight games with the one against the Kiwis getting called off due to rain. They lost to England, but still managed to top the group with 15 points from nine matches.
In the semifinal against New Zealand, who reached the knockouts by the skin of their teeth after finishing fourth, India were overwhelming favourites to win. But despite restricting the Black Caps to 239/8 in 50 overs, India were blown away by the Kiwi bowlers led by Matt Henry (3/37) on the reserve day after play could not be completed on the first day due to inclement weather.
India lost four top order batsmen for just 24 runs inside 10 overs before Ravindra Jadeja (77) and M.S. Dhoni (50) shared a 116-run seventh wicket stand to raise hopes for an unlikely victory. However, it wasn't enough in the end as India fell short by 18 runs.
Chhetri is currently with the Indian football team in Ahmedabad where they are taking part in the four-nation Intercontinental Cup.
