India's daily positivity rate has marginally risen to 6.14 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate in the country currently also stands at 4.64 per cent.

The death toll climbed to 5,26,600 with 70 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.

The active cases comprise 0.33 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.47 per cent, the ministry said.

The active caseload has marginally declined to 1,43,654 cases, accounting for 0.33 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
