The Lahore Police have left for Islamabad to arrest PTI Chairman Imran Khan in a number of cases registered against him, Dawn reported.
While several videos of protests and unrest by Khan’s supporters have surfaced, recently a video has gone viral on social media in which a girl protesting Pakistani cop is seen getting dragged by her hair by a cop.
The court had directed the authorities to present the PTI chief before the court. Accordingly, Khan was brought to the court in a convoy of 15 vehicles, Geo News reported.
Protests were also seen in United States cities including Washington, New York, and Chicago.
Taking to his official Twitter account, PTI leader Hammad Azhar confirmed that Cheema was arrested in the early morning hours of Wednesday, The Express Tribune reported.
Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested from outside the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday.

SSP Islamabad Police said that they had gone to Khan's residence to sign the notice, not to make an arrest, Samaa TV reported.
Earlier on Tuesday, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) and a banking court granted interim bail to the former Prime Minister after he appeared before them at the judicial complex.
This is also the third marriage for Mirza Bilal Baig who is a US-based corporate professional and a former model.
He revealed that the video was made when he and his wife visited Quetta.
The Prime Minister lashed out at Khan for accusing him and the senior military official of orchestrating the failed assassination bid on him during PTI's long march in Gujranwala on Thursday, saying India is using his statement to target Pakistan's institutions, Express Tribune reported.
