Filing of applications for offline matriculation examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) begins today in Odisha. On June 25, BSE announced the matriculation examination results adopting an alternative mode of assessment for awarding marks to students.

Student unrest continued in several parts of Odisha for the second consecutive day over alleged discrepancies in the marking scheme for Class 10 Board exams. On Tuesday, some students of Bahanaga Nodal School gheraoed the office of Balasore District Education Officer (DEO) alleging favouritism by the school headmaster in providing marks to students during tabulation of Class 10 board results.
