However, closing date for applicants of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jl&K, Andaman & Nicobar & Lakshwadweep Islands, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and candidates residing abroad, is September 19, 2018.
Educational Qualification: (i) 12th Pass or equivalent or higher education from recognized Board for the post of Pay Level 2/3 (Basic Pay (19900/21700).
(ii) Intermediate in Science with Maths & Physics for the post of Pay Level 4 (Basic Pay ( 25500), if recruited in Technician Grade.
(iii) Graduation or equivalent for the post of Pay Level 5 (Basic Pay ( 29200)
Age Limit: Applicants' age should be between 18 and 25 years. (The age of sports person will be reckoned as on January 1, 2019).
Examination Fee: General candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500, of which Rs 400 will be refunded to candidates actually appearing in the trial. For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes, the application fee is Rs 250, and they will be refunded the total amount once they appear in the trial.
Selection Process: Selection will be based on performance in Trial, evaluation of Sports achievements, evaluation of Educational Achievements etc. as per rule/instruction of Railway administration. Only the candidates declared FIT in the Trial will be considered for next stage of selection.
Note: No marks shall be given to the candidates who declared UNFIT in the Trial for their sports achievements, etc. No communication shall be entertained from candidates in this regard.

The decision of Railway Administration in connection with formation of panel will be final. For non-empanelment of the candidate, no correspondence will be entertained. In a press briefing, Odisha chief secretary Asit Tripathy today said that no more personal interview will be conducted for the recruitment of Group C posts in the State.
"Only written tests and skill tests will now be conducted for the recruitment of Group C posts. It will help timely completion of the recruitment process and also ensure transparency," said Tripathy adding that the new system will help the exam conducting bodies clear backlogs.
He further said that the State has taken a decision to amend the Odisha Revenue Service Recruitment Rule 2011 following which there will be a 10 per cent increase in quota for Revenue ministerial staff.
"The cadre strength in Odisha Revenue Service is 1092 of which 50 per cent post is filled through promotion and the rest through direct recruitment. Now, the promotional quota for the Revenue ministerial staff has been increased to 40 per cent from the earlier 30 per cent," he said.
In case the remaining 10 per cent (promotional) quota is not filled, the ministerial staff can be promoted as they have more experience and it will help the department, he added.
