Thatched houses and haystacks catching fire on their own have left even the firefighters in a dilemma.
Meanwhile, shop owners and locals expressed outrage over the engagement of only one fire brigade team to douse the massive blaze.
The mishap occurred at one Sheikh Bhallu’s house. The cylinder caught fire when his wife was cooking food in the evening.
According to a witness, the fire started at around 7.30 pm in the complex that houses several offices.
In a letter to the Tehsildar, the temple administration has urged to carry out an eviction drive on the land owned by the Holy Trinity. Besides, the SJTA has requested the Tehsildar to probe the possession of 3.5 decimal land of the temple by a private person.
