This is a new kind of modus operandi involving the concealment of drugs in the boxes of "Valencia Oranges" imported from South Africa.
Since 2020, the STF, in the special drive against narcotic drugs, has seized more than 48 kg of brown sugar and more than 89 quintals 81 kg of ganja and arrested 122 drug peddlers.
The DGP also harped on preparing strategies to maintain law and order situations in the State along with bringing down organised crime.
The consignment was sent by one Zahid Bashir Baloch, a resident of Pakistan who is a wanted absconder in the earlier seizure of 227 kg heroin by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in 2019.
