As per August 12 updates, petrol is being sold at Rs 103.19 and Rs 103.59 in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack respectively. On Friday, while the diesel price in Bhubaneswar is Rs 94.76, in Cuttack the fuel's rate is Rs 95.14.
Generally, apart from Centre excise duty, petrol and diesel prices differ city and state wise depending on the local taxation (VAT) and freight charges.
Customers are reportedly paying Rs 103.19 per litre of petrol in the State Capital while diesel is being sold at Rs 94.76 a litre. In Cuttack, customers are paying Rs 103.59 and Rs 95.14 per litre of petrol and diesel respectively.
Similarly, petrol is being sold at Rs 109.20 in Malkangiri. In Ganjam, petrol costs Rs 104.49 and in Sambalpur.

In other districts like Malkangiri, Ganjam and Sambalpur petrol is being sold at Rs 108.92, Rs 105.66 and Rs 103.33 respectively. Similarly, it is being sold at Rs 103.73 in Bhadrak and Rs 107.79 in Koraput.
The fuel rates in Odisha have also been steady.
