The simultaneous house searches are being conducted by special teams of Odisha Vigilance, led by 5 DSPs, 7 Inspectors, 4 ASIs at 5 places in Sundargarh district.
According to reports, simultaneous searches are being conducted in Cuttack, Khordha and Nayagarh by teams of the anti-corruption agency led by five DSPs, five inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance and Cuttack.
Similar raids were also carried out at Behera’s flat, registered in the name of Debasmita Behera (wife of Behera) in Utkal Heights at Pahala in Bhubaneswar.
The assets belonging to the former principal were detected following raids at five places linked to him and his family members in Khordha and Kalahandi districts.

The anti-corruption agency has detected assets worth over Rs 2 crore following searches at the properties and establishments linked to Nayak at six places in Cuttack, Puri, Jharsuguda, and Ganjam districts.
Vigilance searches are underway at the residence, offices and other houses of the police officer located at Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Jajpur and Koraput, sources informed.
The Vigilance department said that more property is likely to be unearthed and overall valuation to go up as further searches are underway.

During searches at the properties of ADM Mohapatra following information about his disproportionate assets, that lasted for 36 hours, the sleuths claimed to have stumbled upon assets worth around Rs 10 crore.

The Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Manoranjan Nayak, posted as an Assistant Collector at Rourkela ADM Office in Sundargarh district, for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets worth Rs 2 crore.
