An upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal around September 18, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday.
As per the September forecast, low pressure systems might bring good rainfall in Odisha every week throughout the month and that is what has happened so far, said Mohapatra.
Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, a low pressure area is likely to form over West-central Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. The Met department has issued yellow warning for many districts of Odisha over the period of next 5 days.
He said panic buying might cause an artificial shortage in the market while some traders may take advantage of the situation and increase the prices of the essential commodities.
As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, a low pressure area is likely to form over the same region under the influence of the cyclonic circulation system around May 6.

As per IMD, a Cyclonic circulation is likely to form over east-central and adjoining north-east Bay of Bengal around September 25. The system is likely to move west –north-westwards and reach the Odisha coast during the subsequent 48 hours, tweeted the Regional Meteorological Centre on Monday.
The cyclonic circulation now lies over east-central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is very likely to move west north-westwards and reach Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-WestBengal coasts during the next 12 hours, informed the Met Centre in a tweet.
