The body of Chittaranjan, a native of Sanabandhakera village under Brahmagiri Block of Puri district, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Nuanai on December 13.

The wife of deceased Odisha ACF, Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra will be quizzed by a Crime Branch team over allegations of her involvement in her husband's death

The chronology of events since the death of Odisha ACF Soumya Ranjan on July 13 suggests that this is yet another case that is headed towards a dead end.

The Crime Branch will now probe the death case of Paralakhemundi Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Soumya Ranjan. Crime Branch ADG Sanjeev Panda informed on Saturday that the agency has taken over the probe into the case. According to Sanjeev Panda, the crime branch has undertaken investigation following orders of the DGP.
