The two "Made in India" vaccines got the Drug Controller General of India's (DCGI) approval for restricted emergency use this year leading to the beginning of the world's largest vaccination drive from January 16.
The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) on Friday granted Serum Institute of India (SII) the permission to manufacture Russian COVID Vaccine- Sputnik V for examination test and analysis at its licensed facility at Hadapsar, ANI quoted sources as saying.

Major consignments were received on May 23 and May 24 from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Singapore, Ontario (Canada), US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and Nestle (Swiss India Chamber of Commerce). The foreign relief aid includes 20 oxygen concentrators, 540 oxygen cylinders and 536 ventilators or Bi-PAP or CPAP.
