Protest erupted at the Badasankha area in Puri after some police officials allegedly thrashed a fruit seller and a local reporter on Wednesday (May 19). Alleging police brutality, the shopkeepers staged a dharna on the road.

With no significant improvement in the COVID19 situation in Odisha, the State government today extended the lockdown till June 1st.

At a time when the deadly coronavirus has forced the entire Odisha into another lockdown, the stray animals, particularly in the urban areas, have been left in the lurch.
