The Odisha Government is all set to start Covid-19 vaccination of pregnant woman in the State shortly following a new set of guidelines issued by the Union Health Ministry, stated Health Director Bijay Mohapatra

India's Covid vaccination coverage has crossed the landmark of 31 crore as 61.19 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

A group of vendors in Ganjam district have come forward to offer discounts to double vaccinated customers in a bid to promote the ongoing vaccination drive against the Covid-19. 

Following several requests for a second dose of vaccines from people planning to travel abroad, the Centre on Monday issued guidelines to states and Union Territories to provide vaccines to such people who have completed 28 days of their first dose.

A majority of these people may not have any identity card and are living in different Shelter For Urban Homeless (SUH) under the Corporation's jurisdiction.

In a major development, the Government of India has finalised arrangements with Hyderabad-based vaccine manufacturer Biological-E to reserve 30 crore of COVID-19 vaccine doses for the country. As per reports, these vaccine doses will be manufactured and stockpiled by Biological-E from August to December 2021.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday launched doorstep Covid-19 vaccination drive under its jurisdiction to inoculate people above 45 years of age at their homes.

RMRC Bhubaneswar has been requested to carry out a follow up to assess the hospitalization and severity among COVID-19 positive individuals post vaccination as compared to non-vaccinated COVID-19 positive individuals

As per the modifications, the storage condition has been revised up to minus 20 degree Celsius subject to condition that the vaccines will remain stable and maintain its potency at 2 degree Celsius to 8 degree Celsius for at least 12 hours.
