As Odisha continues to record between 6000 and 11000 cases even during the lockdown, health experts believe that the present situation is not conducive to relax the restrictions completely.

Odisha government is currently seeking expert opinion on lockdown extension in the state. Odisha Health Services Director Bijay Mohapatra on Thursday (May 27) stated that the government is currently reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the state and a decision regarding lockdown extension will be taken only after getting opinions of experts.
Delhi has been under a lockdown since April 20 and during this period daily Covid cases were over 25,000 and the average positivity rate was above 30 per cent.
Alarmed by the rising cases of Covid-19 cases, the Sarpanch of the Gelpur Gram Panchayat in Bhadrak district, Mansi Rout reportedly declared a complete shutdown in Nalanga from May 24th to 28th.
