The parents and family members of the returnee were tested for Covid-19 twice after he was tested positive. However, they were found negative both times.
The active cases in Odisha remained at 13,516 while 9,63,718 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
Bhubaneswar has alone recorded over 70 percent of the total Covid deaths in Khordha district.
With this, the active cases in the State increased to 31,231 while 8,77,540 patients recovered, including 3,233 on Wednesday, from the disease so far.
The daily infection numbers of Covid continues to oscillate in the State with as many as 3,371 persons testing positive for the Coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
With this, the active cases in the State remained at 33,019 while 8,60,142 patients have recovered, including 3,644 on Friday, from the disease so far.
The Covid-19 daily positive count in Odisha dropped below 3,000-mark for the second time in the last four days. However, deaths due to the virus continued unabated in the State.
On Tuesday, the State had recorded 3,671 positive cases and 38 deaths.
Odisha now has 38,727 active cases, while 8,35,132 people have recovered from the disease so far.
With this, the cumulative positive tally touched 8,73,925 while death toll rise to 3,550 on Saturday.
The 28-year-old succumbed to Covid-19 just four days before his scheduled marriage on June 18, leaving his family, relatives and villagers in a state of shock and grief.
