Two main markets in the State Capital city of Odisha were on Friday shut down by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation authorities on charges of violation of Covid-19 protocols. 

The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday said that the State government will invest more than Rs 8500 crores on health infrastructure. Patnaik said this today while interacting with 786 newly appointed doctors who were recently selected through OPSC.

The daily cases of Covid-19 further dipped in Odisha as the State witnessed 3,405 new cases on Tuesday. With this, the positive tally in the State climbed to 8,59,526, the State I&PR Department informed

If a third wave of Covid pandemic breaks out, it might still be as severe as the second wave  as it will not only hit the children but others as well, the Director of Institute of Life Sciences in Bhubaneswar Ajay Parida informed today.
