With Diwali festivities underway, and there being the possibility of crime, the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police has already braced itself up to face any eventuality. 

The arrested brown sugar peddlers have been identified as residents of the Delang area in Puri. 

According to Priyadarshi, the accused Ghania works as a daily labourer and was familiar with the victim minor girl and always used to give her chocolates. The accused had taken the girl to his room with the intention of sexual assault

As per initial reports, a special team of Commissionerate Police conducted a special inspection at various bars, and nightclubs in Chandrasekharpur, Patia, Cuttack Road, Mancheswar, and Infocity. 

It has been found that some essence and original tobacco was added to kendu leaves to prepare the adulterated products. The accused used to cut the box of the original brand and used to add the adulterated product inside.
