Amid the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced PM-CARES fund of Rs 10 lakh for children who have lost their parents to the coronavirus. These children will receive a monthly stipend amount once they turn 18. Apart from other benefits, they will get a lump sum amount of Rs 10 lakh from PM-CARES when they turn 23.
