In its latest notice, CBSE has informed that the last date for submission of registration data of class 9 and 11 has been extended. The decision has been taken in view of the representations received from various schools.

In a counter affidavit filed in the matter, the CBSE sought dismissal of the petition and said there is a national framework that provides flexibility for emphasis on local resources and ethos so that a child can better relate to the curriculum and education.

The Single Girl Child Scholarship scheme was introduced by the CBSE in the year 2006.

Accordingly, the CBSE initiated Competency Focused Education and Assessment in its affiliated schools and recently released practice papers in all major subjects of Classes 10 and 12.

The CBSE has also released a list of categories of students who are eligible. As per official sources, the CBSE will hold the examinations for private candidates in the month of February/ March/ April 2024 along with the Board’s Main Examinations.

A fresh directive has been issued as it has been observed that schools and students are not careful and submitting the wrong data. This creates problems if the wrong demographic details of students are filled in.

As per the latest notification, CBSE informed that it has released a comprehensive document, ‘Framework and significant guidelines in the context of the secondary and senior secondary certificate examinations for the guidance of the schools.’

During this period of three years, the schools have been asked to re-align the students’ strength to 40 students per section.

In a letter to its affiliated schools, the CBSE has urged the principals to remain alert to such malpractices and ensure the preservation of the sanctity of the education ecosystem.

Senior CBSE officials in a statement said that the exams will be conducted over a period of 55 days (approximately). The examinations are likely to conclude by April 10, 2024.

The CBSE, in its previous circular issued in January 2019, had stated about the issue of ‘introduction of two levels of mathematics for All India Secondary School Examination from the academic session ending March 2020 onwards.’

In a bid to assist students to overcome common psychological problems related to exams and results, the CBSE has started 'post-result annual psychological counselling' from Saturday.

After releasing the results, the CBSE has now released the modalities and schedule for the verification of marks, obtaining (scanned) photocopy of evaluated answersheets and re-evaluation of answers.

As per official sources, the overall pass percentage went down by 1.28 percent compared to last year. A total of 93.12 percent of students passed the Class 10 examination this year.
