“The CBSE exams were underway till June 15. And, for the evaluation of papers, it takes at least 45 days. So, it’s only 30 days and 15 more days needed for evaluation,” said Pradhan.
However, it will not take 15 more days, said the Education Minister adding, “I had a discussion with the CBSE officials yesterday. The CBSE results will be released at the right time.”
Recently, the University Grants Commission (UGC) directed all the higher educational institutions to take into account the CBSE board exam result announcement while fixing deadline for the under graduate admission process.
The UGC requested to provide sufficient time to CBSE students, who are awaiting their result, for admission in undergraduate (UG) courses.
Meanwhile, it is expected that the CBSE Class 12 result will be announced in the last week of July, Class 10 result may be released in the first week of August.
"CBSE class 10 and 12 results are likely to declare in the last week of July as per the scheduled fixed by the CBSE and there is no delay in Board results," a senior CBSE official told ANI on condition of anonymity.
On the contrary, this year, the Board will be declaring the class 10 and 12 results early despite COVID-19 impact because the exams commenced late and conducted for more than 50 days, the official said.
Earlier, reports were also making rounds that the CBSE results may get delayed due to the flood situations in Assam. However, a board official termed the reports as false and baseless.
"The Board is on track to advance the schedule. UG admission schedule of different institutions are kept in mind and CBSE (is) in touch with the concerned authorities to protect the interest of its students," Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Exams, CBSE had earlier told The Indian Express.
Over 35 lakh students had appeared for the CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams which were conducted in offline mode across the country.
Earlier on Monday, reports were abuzz in the media that the board would announce the CBSE class 10 result on July 4. However, no such announcement was made.
While lakhs of students are eagerly waiting for the results, some have urged the board to announce the Term 2 results without any further delay.
A Twitter user wrote, "Please declare the results soon. Universities needs the results for admission by July 3rd week. Kindly do justice to this batch. Please Consider best out of 2.This batch had 1st half online and 2nd half offline."
"Since many news are coming of result declaration and weightage regarding the cbse examination . Because of which many students are getting afraid. So, it would be better if the officials clear everything regarding the result. So that student's get less worried," wrote another Twitter user.
Another Twitterati said CBSE is the most unexpected board while urging it to have some mercy for the students and release the result as soon as possible.
If latest reports are to be believed, the CBSE class 10 is likely to be announced by July 13 while class 12 result may be announced by July 15.
Once the results are out, students can check it on the official websites of CBSE- cbseresults.nic.in, results.gov.in or on the recently launched exam tab, Pariksha Sangam.
Many CBSE students from Std X and XII have taken to Twitter including many from Odisha to press for their demand of ‘best of either term’, rather than the current plan to include marks of both terms.
The students have posted messages on social media, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the CBSE authorities to consider their demand.
“We are an experimental batch we've already suffered a lot so kindly please do justice for us. We want best of either terms. We want justice,” tweeted a student.
"Most of the CBSE students including me are demanding best of either terms subject wise as lots of experiments were done on us. Now it's about our life and future. We want #BestOfEitherTermsSubjectWise,” wrote another student on social media.
“The 2021-2022 session turned out to be a mess. Everyone will say marks don’t matter but at the end of the day these same people will compare on the basis of marks,” tweeted another.
The students also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan in their posts and CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi to consider their demand.
Ahead of the CBSE Term 2 exam beginning tomorrow, the board said those who appear for either of the term exams will receive a grade based on their performance in one of exams- Term 1 or Term 2.
If a student is not able to appear for all the exams and take only three or four of them because of Covid-19, he/she will also get his/her results under a special scheme.
“The alternate grading scheme will be decided by the board at the appropriate time and will be in favour of students,” said CBSE while addressing students at a live webinar on Monday.
Check the conditions under which students can get their board exam results:
Appeared for term-1 exams but absent in term-2 exams
Appeared for term-2 exams but absent in term-1 exams
Appeared for all papers in term-1 but couldn’t appear for 1 or 2 papers in term-2
Appears for all papers in term-2 but failed to appear for 1 or 2 papers in term-1
The CBSE will be conducting the Class 10 and Class 12 Term 2 exams from tomorrow, April 26. While the Class 10 Term 2 exam will conclude on May 24, CBSE Class 12 board exam will end on June 15.
The students can contact their respective schools to get the results, an official said.
Earlier, on last Saturday, the CBSE had released the results of the first term of Class 10 students in a similar way.
The first term examination of class X and XII students were conducted in December last year.
The results of both classes have been sent directly to the schools via offline mode. Students can also get it through the offline mode, said the CBSE in a statement.
The first term examination of class 10 was held from November 30 to December 11, 2021, while class 12 first term examination was conducted from December 1 to December 22 last year across the country at various exam centres.
Around 35 lakhs of students had participated.
The second term examination of class 12 and class 10 will be conducted from April 26. The final result for Class 10, 12 will be released by CBSE after Term 2 examinations get over.
Although the CBSE Class 10 and 12 result date and time have not been announced yet by the board, an official had earlier hinted that the results for the same might be announced this week.
"There's a possibility of announcing the term 1 results for both classes 10, 12 this week. The board will announce the result date, once confirmed. The students are advised to follow the official websites only for updates on exams and results,” NDTV Education quoted as said by the CBSE official.
Therefore, as today is Sunday which is the last day of the week, it is being said that the CBSE might declare the Class 10, 12 Term 1 results today.
However, TimesNowNews.Com in a report claimed citing official sources of CBSE that the result will not be released today.
The media house further claimed that the Term 1 result date is not confirmed but it can be released tomorrow or within the coming week. However, there is no official confirmation on the result date.
The CBSE Term 1 board exams 2021 were conducted in November-December in objective type answer mode through OMR sheet.
Once the result is declared, students can get it on the official websites, cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in. Besides, they can also check the class 10, 12 terms 1 results in the DigiLocker app or its website, digilocker.gov.in.
On the other hand, CBSE has already announced that the term-2 exam will be held in offline mode from April 26.
Meanwhile, students are demanding the cancellation of Term 2 exams and are requesting alternative assessment criteria. Some students have even moved to the Supreme Court and filed a plea in this regard. The petition will be heard by the apex court on February 21, 2022.
The hearing has reportedly been scheduled for December 6.
Thousands of students had earlier opted for improvement exams in the offline mode after CBSE board declared their marks using the 30:30:40 evaluation policy.
However, as per the plea filed, many of them have either been declared failed or have been awarded very less marks in the improvement exams held in August-September this year, while earlier they had been declared pass during the alternate assessment.
The plea filed by students has further sought a direction to the concerned authorities to maintain the original result and not treat the improvement exam results as final.
The plea mentioned that the idea of offline examination was to give an opportunity to students to improve their marks and not to put them in disadvantage or to declare those, who were already declared pass, as failed.
As per reports, the process of checking answer sheets has been completed and the final computation of the result is currently underway. The Board informed that it is trying to publish the Class 12 results of the private, patrachar and compartment students as soon as possible so that they too have equal chance to apply in various universities across the country.
Once the results are published, the students can check the results on CBSE's official website, where they can head to the Private Candidates examination section and click on the Improvement exam Result link 2021 section.
Candidates can login their details after which their results will be displayed on screen. It is pertinent to mention that the private, patrachar and compartment students had given offline exams unlike the regular Class 12 students after the Supreme Court rejected their plea seeking evaluation through alternative assessment.

As the Supreme Court had asked CBSE and other boards to declare results by July 31, the Class 10 results were expected to be out on August 1 or by August 2. The Board picked up the famous viral meme involving Srikant Tiwari and Chellam Sir of 'The Family Man' series to calm down the anxious parents. Taking to Twitter, CBSE shared a picture which shows veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee as a parent while Chellam Sir represented the Board, responding to the query of Manoj.
In the funny conversation, Chellam Sir asks Srikant to not be a minimum guy parent. On behalf of CBSE, Chellam Sir in the post has asked parents to be optimistic and relax and assured that results will be published soon. The post said - Relax, Jald Hi Ayega.
The meme which has gone viral on social media, received hilarious responses but has given some assurance to the students and parents who have been waiting since long for the results. It was earlier said that the results of CBSE Class 10th and 12th board exams, are likely to be announced by July 31.
Speaking to national media, sources in the Board have confirmed that results would be announced well within the deadline. After the results are declared, Class 10 and 12 students can check their results on the official websites of CBSE, i.e., cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in and also through the DigiLocker website and app.
Even though the results are expected any time before July 31, as per earlier announcement, a cliffhanger like situation still continues for the parents as well as their wards over the exact date on which the results will be announced by the board.
For the past couple of weeks, students as well as their parents have been flooding the Board’s official page with a variety of queries. Taking to its official Twitter handle, the CBSE on Wednesday gave an important update by putting up a meme extracted from the second season of the ‘Family Man’ starring Manoj Bajpayee.
In the post, the CBSE has also tagged Manoj Bajpayee (Srikant Tiwari in Family Man) who has been portrayed as a worried parent.
It also features the popular character ‘Chellam Sir’, played by Uday Mahesh.

Parents and students are eagerly waiting for the results of their hard work. CBSE students faced a tough time this year due to the alleged paper leak putting the future of lakhs of students at stake.

The development came after the board had moved Court seeking additional time in providing the photocopies of answer sheets to the 159 students after its earlier deadline ended today.
Though CBSE authorities had sought another 15 days time, the Court directed the board to provide the photocopies to students by July 7.
Also Read: CBSE Class 12 results fiasco: Re-evaluation deadline extended
Apart from the 159 students, the Court has allowed the petition of 30 more students seeking re-evaluation and photocopies of their answer sheets today.
The CBSE had on June 22 decided to extend the deadline for re-evaluation of answer sheets by a week after the Parents’ Association had met Union HRD Minister Prakash Javedkar at New Delhi.
After the intervention of Union HRD Minister, CBSE agreed to extend the deadline for re-evaluation by one week for 9,000 affected students.
“There has been a serious lapse from the board’s side. We will review the allegations brought by students and detect the major mistakes and who the examiners were who committed these mistakes. Accordingly, the punishment will be prescribed,” said Minister Patra.
Many students have brought allegations of discrepancies in CHSE Plus Two results. N Pritam Das, a Science student of Kendrapara had scored only 3 in Physics that increased to 37 after rechecking but when he sought copy of his answer sheet he received the answer copy of another student. Similarly, Subham Sahu, also from Kendrapara, had scored 51 in Physics that increased to 96 after rechecking. Two girls of Salepur college had also brought similar allegations.
In 2013, the Odisha Conduct of Examination Act was amended to ensure error free publication of results and check malpractice. As per the new rules, teachers and examiners can get jail imprisonment from three to seven years along with up to Rs 1 lakh penalty for irregularities in exams or results.
“The examiners and board officials are playing with the lives of students. They should be jailed or serious action should be taken against those found guilty,” said Nabakishore Das, father of Pritam Das.
This year during the Plus Two exams there was a fiasco of question papers wherein students at 17 centres were given Chemistry papers during Math exams.
“The board has all lists of examiners and chief examiners of each paper and we can easily trace who had checked which paper. Action can be taken accordingly,” said Basudev Chhatoi, former Chairman of CHSE.
Though the two central officials deputed by Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar to resolve the issue received the allegations of nearly 600 students and assured to come up with a solution in 15 days, the Student Congress today threatened to agitate fiercely if the revised results are not published in 24 hours.
Similarly, they have demanded to postpone the admissions, entrance and counselling to be held in the State till the issue is resolved.
It may be mentioned that on Thursday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke to the HRD Minister and informed him about the plight of the students in the state following which the Union Minister has assured to depute more officials soon.
Citing that schools are finalizing their data with full capacity, CBSE highlighted that teachers are under stress as the deadline of July 22 is approaching fast. The board mentioned in its notice that teachers are getting panicky and committing mistakes and sending request to CBSE to rectify these.
Given the time constraints and problems faced by the schools and teachers, the board said that it has decided to extend the last date. The CBSE has also urged the schools to work towards compiling the result by completing the moderation to avoid any last minute rush.
Moreover, the Board has reiterated that in case any school is left to complete the moderation, the result of such schools will be declared separately. In an earlier notification, the board had said that declaration of valid, reliable and unbiased results of the students in the pandemic situation is the common objective.
"As of now, it has been observed that schools are finalizing their data with full capacity. However, as last data i.e. 22.07.2021 is approaching fast and teachers involved are under stress, getting panicky and committing mistakes and sending request to CBSE to rectify these," the CBSE said in a notice.
CBSE is well aware about the time constraints and problems faced by the schools and teachers. Accordingly, CBSE has decided to extend the last date from 22.07.2021 to 25.07.2021(05:00 PM), the board informed.
The CBSE further requested the schools to work towards compiling the result by completing the moderation to avoid any last minute rush. "In case any schools is left to complete the moderation, the result of such schools will be declared separately," the board reiterated.
The board had earlier said that the common objective is declaration of valid, reliable and unbiased results of the students in the pandemic situation. "Moderating marks of Class-XI & XII will be a great responsibility, which has to be done in a manner to ensure justice and fairness to students," it had stated.
"Any differential application of policy across schools may result in either adverse impact or undue gain for some students. It should be kept in mind that the responsibility of the Result Committee is being exercised on behalf of CBSE for the entire student population and should not be seen as limited to that of a particular school," the board had added.
"It is important to reiterate that the common objective before all of us is declaration of valid, reliable and unbiased results of the students in the pandemic situation. Moderating marks of Class-XI & XII will be a great responsibility, which has to be done in a manner to ensure justice and fairness to students," the CBSE said in an official release.
Amid the wait of students for the results, the board has shared the pattern of distribution of total marks, Theory and Practical, of students for the CBSE Class 12 result 2021, with the schools.
'The broad pattern of distribution of students' total marks (Theory + Practical) of a school (i.e., the composite total of class-X, class-XI and class-XII theory marks) has been provided by the CBSE in the following manner':
"Schools will therefore have to, additionally, ensure that after moderation, the number of students with overall marks in the range of 95 and above, this year, is not more than the number of students scoring such overall marks, as per the best historic performance of the last three years. To further facilitate the schools in moderation of marks, user friendly software has been developed by CBSE, the guidelines of which will be made available on portal.
This software has two sections - 1. Subject wise moderation and 2. Overall moderation. A complete tabulation sheet will be visible for schools comprising of all components of marks viz. Class X, Class XI, Class XII & Practical/Project/IA and schools should first go through the guidelines and understand before you undertake the exercise of moderation of marks. It may also be ensured that 'Submission' button needs to be pressed only when you are confirmed that moderation done by you is 100% correct," the board added.
CBSE has asked all its affiliated schools to follow the schedule strictly and complete the moderation between July 16 and July 22 ahead of the announcement of the Class 12 board results on July 31. The CBSE reiterated that every effort should be made to announce valid, reliable and unbiased results.
The board has also mandated the schools to moderate the marks in a manner that the results are comparable and unequal application of policy within schools and across schools should be avoided. Moreover, the board has assured the schools that an user-friendly software has been developed by the CBSE to facilitate schools in moderation of marks. The guidelines of its operation will be made available on the portal.
The software will have a section on subject-wise moderation and overall moderation. Earlier, CBSE had provided a new tabulation policy for Class 10 and Class 12 students. According to the new policy Class 12 students will be marked based on their Class 11 and Class 10 results.
At least 40% of the marks will be based on 12th pre-board results and 60% weightage will be given to the performance of the students in Class 11 and Class 10 final exams.
"As per the time schedule given in policy, the portal for moderation and finalization of results for Class-XII is being opened from 16.07.2021(Afternoon) to 22.07.2021 (Mid Night)," the board informed.
It has requested the schools to follow the schedule strictly and complete the moderation within the schedule as the board has to declare the result latest by 31.07.2021.
"If any school is left to complete the moderation within the stipulated schedule, their result will be declared separately after 31.07.2021," CBSE warned.
"It is important to reiterate that the common objective before all of us is declaration of valid, reliable and unbiased results of the students in the pandemic situation. Moderating marks of Class-XI & XII will be a great responsibility, which has to be done in a manner to ensure justice and fairness to students.
Any differential application of policy across schools may result in either adverse impact or undue gain for some students. It should be kept in mind that the responsibility of the Result Committee is being exercised on behalf of CBSE for the entire student population and should not be seen as limited to that of a particular school.
Schools are therefore mandated to moderate the marks in such a manner that the results are comparable and no student should suffer because of any unequal application of policy within a school or across schools," it added.
However, latest media reports suggest that the Board will not be publishing the Class 10 board results this week. Talking to Indian Express, Sanyam Bhardwaj, the controller of examinations, CBSE, said that the board will not be releasing the result this week as schools are yet to submit the marks of all students.
According to reports, the CBSE Board would be releasing a circular for schools which have not submitted marks to the board. The CBSE official further clarified that the Class 12 results will also not be declared this week. Citing that schools have not yet reached halfway in awarding marks to the students, Bhardwaj reiterated that while results are expected to be declared by July 31, they will definitely not be released this week.
Earlier, the board had informed that it will release Class 10 results by July 20 and Class 12 results by July 31. Amid an increased curiosity over declaration of results, the Board has advised students to keep an eye on the board’s website- cbse.gov.in.
Since 2016, Microsoft has partnered with the CBSE to display the board examination results on www.bing.com.
Beginning this year, users can avail the feature on "SMS Organizer", the tech giant wrote in a blog post.
To get CBSE Class 10 and 12 results on SMS Organizer, users first need to download the app and then register for CBSE results.
On the result day, the pre-registered users will receive a notification for the result, clicking on which their score card will appear.
Since the scorecard data is sent via an SMS, users will be able to see it even if they do not have Internet connectivity on result day, the post said.
The results will also be available on Bing for parents, teachers and students to easily search and get the score cards.
"Over the last few months, we have been working with multiple education boards in India to deliver the results of the various exams they conduct, on Bing apart from their own websites," the company's blogpost revealed.
"So far exam results for Class 10 - Andhra Pradesh SSC board, Class 10 - Telangana SSC Board and Class 10 and Class 12 - Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad are available on Bing."
Earlier, Google had partnered with CBSE for the JEE Main exam results and other exam-related information.
Students could quickly, securely and seamlessly locate their score on their smartphone or desktop using Google Search.
"We are collaborating with Google for smooth dissemination of results through an easy and secure platform," Rama Sharma, Senior Public Relations Officer, CBSE, had said in a statement.
The tech giant has also introduced an improved Search experience for other popular exams like GATE, SSC CGL, CAT.
Students searching for these competitive exams will find important information such as test dates, registration dates, important links, and other key information right within Google Search.
As per reports, several schools had earlier informed the Board that some students in their school were not available for examination or computation of result at the time of submission of LOC as they had already taken their Transfer Certificate (TC). Apart from this, there were students who ceased to be a bonafide student of the school due to other reasons such as demise, name struck-off cases and more.
Also, there were a few students who could not be contacted by the school for various online/offline tests/exams/assessments during the academic year, and it was not possible for schools to conduct required assessments later. According to CBSE, in all such cases, the board has asked schools to mark these students ABSENT so that their results are not declared.
Further, the Board mentioned that data in respect of these students may not be submitted by awarding the ZERO MARK or mentioning anything else against their names. Last Thursday, the CBSE board had also issued a notice asking schools to take into account several references to the tabulation policy for Class 12.
CBSE recently had issued a circular clarifying issues pertaining to subject change and absent students.
As per the circular, the CBSE will not publish the results of the students who did not appear in the pre-board and half-yearly exam.
Earlier some schools had reported that students who were studying in their school at the time of submission of LOC are not available for examination/computation of result.
The reasons include that the student has already taken TC. Similarly, the student has ceased to be a bonafide student of the school due to any reason including demise and name struck-off cases etc.
The students could not be contacted by the school for various online/offline tests/exams/assessments during the complete session are during exam/practical time.
In all such cases, it may be ensured that the students are marked ABSENT so that the result in respect of such students is not declared.
“It may be noted that data in respect of these students may not be submitted by awarding them ZERO MARK or mentioning anything else against their names,” the CBSE letter read.
In the notice issued on Thursday, CBSE also asked schools to take into account several references to the tabulation policy for Class 12.
CBSE had earlier issued a letter and discontinued as many as seven academic electives and 34 Vocational subjects at Senior Secondary level.
Now, the board has directed all its affiliated schools to discontinue offering three electives for class 9 and three electives for class 11 students from the upcoming academic session, 2018-19.
The discontinued Class 9 subjects are:
English Communicative: Code 101
Information and Communication Technology: Code 166
e-Publishing and e-Office: Code 354 and 454
The discontinued Class 11 subjects are:
Dance – Mohiniyattam: Code 062
Multimedia and Web Technology: Code 067
English Elective CBSE: Code 101
Meanwhile, three academic electives - Agriculture: Code 068, Fashion Studies: Code 053, Mass Media Studies: Code 072 - have been merged with similar vocational electives and as per NDTV report, they will be offered as Vocational Electives from the 2018-19 academic session.
Schools will have to visit the portal and submit the marks of the students by today only. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, CBSE had earlier extended the marks submission deadline up to June 30.
All the schools affiliated to CBSE need to submit the internal assessment marks of class 10 students on the link available on the e-Pareeksha 2021 portal.
Though the CBSE class 10 result 2021 was earlier expected to be out by July 10, now it is likely to be declared in the third week of July.
On the other hand, the CBSE has come up with a safe, quick and viable solution for students to get duplicate copy of their crucial academic documents.
The IT Department of the Board has developed an in-house portal named DADS (Duplicate Academic Document System).
Through this DADS portal, students and parents can obtain duplicate marksheets, passing certificate and migration certificate.
They will have to log on to the website, www.cbse.nic.in and apply on the link https://cbseit.in/cbse/web/dads/home.aspx for the procedure and options.
Meanwhile, the students of Class 10 and 12- dissatisfied with their results- can appear for the optional exams in August, 2021.
Delhi recorded a pass percentage of 78.62 with girls stealing a march over boys. The pass percentage of girls is 79.15 as opposed to boys who have a pass percentage of 78.12.
Government schools had the lowest pass percentage at 69.32. Private schools in the Delhi region had a pass percentage of 89.45 while government-aided institutions had a pass percentage of 69.96.
"Many congratulations to all students who have passed the Class 10 CBSE Board exams. It was a tough year for all students as Board exams were happening for the first time after 10 years.
"Would specially like to congratulate teachers and principals of govt schools, who have worked very hard in improving the pass percentage from the pre-boards (30%), to boards (70%). Great work by the whole Team Education," Sisodia posted on Twitter.
As many as 15,487 candidates secured 90 per cent marks and above, while 2,861 students secured 95 per cent and above.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas had the highest pass percentage in the Delhi region with 98.63 followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas at 97.03, according to CBSE officials.
The CBSE declared its Class 12 results on May 26 and Delhi was third in terms of pass percentage after Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai.
Delhi's pass percentage was 89 as opposed to last year's pass percentage of 88.37.
The students, who are not satisfied with the results, need not worry as the government is fully prepared to conduct the exams if the situation is conducive.
"The physical exams will be conducted in August once the situation improves. I reiterate that our top priority is your safety, health and future," said Pokhriyal.

CBSE has framed the evaluation criteria for Class 10 and 12 students and it was also accepted by the Supreme Court, said the Education Minister.
Later, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the cancellation of the board exams in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the exam dates of the physical exams may be released by the Board next month in case CBSE finds the situation conducive to hold the exams.
As per reports, for Class 10th and 11th, marks in best of 3 from 5 papers in term exams will be considered. And for Class 12, marks obtained in unit, term and practicals will be taken into account. As was being speculated, the CBSE informed the top court that the weightage for the marks will be 30 per cent for Class 10th, 30 per cent for Class 11th performance and 40 per cent of Class 12th performance.
Attorney General KK Venugopal said that the declaration of results will be done by July 31, 2021. Those students who are not satisfied with the marks or the grading through the present mechanism can do better or improve their marks by appearing in physical examinations. This will be done once the COVID pandemic situation gets better or as the situation normalises or as their respective institutions think.
Attorney General KK Venugopal told Supreme Court that there may be a moderation committee to look into the difference in marking mechanism adopted by various schools to put all students as far as the awarding of final marks for Class XII is concerned.
He has further submitted to the Apex Court that each school has to form a result committee to consider the marks of students obtained in the three examinations which would be vetted by the moderation committee of the CBSE.
As per CBSE, the objective criteria for the results of Class 12 board examinations will be compiled as per a well-defined objective criterion.
According to an official notification, the 12-member committee constituted by CBSE will submit its report regarding the objective criteria within 10 days.
The board also informed in the letter that the committee will be soon informed regarding the schedule of its first meeting to discuss the issue.
Earlier, in view of the uncertainty amid Covid-19 pandemic, CBSE cancelled the class-12 Board examinations this year.

In a statement released by CBSE, it mentioned that the board is keeping a constant vigil and bringing unwanted activities to the notice of police immediately so that suitable and strict action against miscreants can be taken under provisions of IPC and IT Act.
Moreover, FIRs have already been lodged with the Delhi Police against persons circulating fake news regarding paper leak and availability of question papers prior to the examinations, the Board said.
The Board also once again appealed to students and parents not to react to such fake news in circulation and join hands with the board for a fair and smooth conduct of examinations.
It is pertinent to mention here that CBSE has been firmly alert since the beginning of the board exams this year to avoid any type of question leak incident ensuring students and parents of no inconvience.
CBSE, in the release, said: "Immediately after declaration of the results, the processes referred to above will start. In order to make the schools, students and parents aware about the processes, the schedule as under may be disseminated to them so that they are aware of the schedule well in advance and can plan accordingly:
Meanwhile, the Class 12 results are likely to be published in the third week of May, following which the Class 10 results will also be declared, after two to three days.
This year, a total of 31, 14,821 candidates had registered for Class 10 and Class 12 examination including 28 transgender.
Besides, CBSE had taken all the necessary measure for the smooth conduct of the exams and no ensured no incident of paper leak or else. Overall, exams were smoothly conducted by the board this year.
According to reports, the evaluation work of the answer papers of CBS Class 10 is presently going on at various examination centres across the country.
As the Board is likely to release the results a bit early this year, TIMESNOWNEWS.COM reached out to the various evaluation centres in Delhi NCR and reportedly found that the evaluation is almost complete.
It further reported, citing an examiner that checking of Economics and Physical Education papers has been completed while Social Studies paper of Class 10 will be completed by this week.
“CBSE has been extra strict and vigil this year. The number of evaluation centres was increased, mandatory attendance of teachers was implemented and better monitoring has helped,” TIMESNOWNEWS.COM quoted a source as saying on the condition of anonymity.
On the other hand, CBSE was reported to be using digital technology to create as much of a level playing field as possible for students who feel unduly penalised by a disproportionately difficult question paper or a stray ambiguous question.
As per an IANS report by Vishal Narayan, an official said that the Board started using the Theory Evaluation Trend Analysis (TETRA) software – written by its own team – last year for studying the trend of marks being obtained by the students across the regions.
The software displays the live trend of average marks scored across the centres and can be used for moderation of marks in case there’s an unfair degree of ambiguity or difficulty in the question paper, it added.
However, putting an end to all these speculations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has strongly dismissed all these rumours and speculations stating that the evaluation process of the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams is on, but the Board has not yet decided anything related to the results dates.
It also advised students not to believe in the news that are making rounds in social media platforms and websites which claimed that the results will be declared after the first week of May i.e. between May 8 and 15, while some said that Class 10 results will be declared in the first week of June.
Expressing concerns over the matter, the CBSE has urged students and parents to not believe in rumours and asked them to wait till the official announcement of the dates by the Board.
“These are nothing but rumours and I requested all the media houses to stop speculating the result date,”CBSE chairman Anita Karwal informed to The Indian Express while dismissing the rumours regarding the results.
She also said that all the officials concerned have been strictly directed not to talk with the media in this regard as the process of evaluation is going on and it is too early to announce the date of CBSE Class 10 and 12 results.
“The date of the declaration of result will be communicated to the media houses, just a day before the declaration of results. As per now, the third week of May (May 12 to 17) is the probable date for declaration of results, but it may change,” added Anita Karwal.
CBSE secretary Anurag Tripathi had earlier confirmed that the results will be declared between May 13 and 17.
Normally, CBSE class 10 results are declared by the end of May while class 12 results are usually announced a week before the class 10 results.
It is worth mentioning that CBSE took several steps for smoothly conducting the board exams and also the evaluation process this year.
“Colleges should give applications to CBSE students. They should be given 10 days time from the data of declaration of CBSE Class XII results,” said a circular by the director of collegiate education, R Sarumathi.
The State board Class 12 results were on April 19, following which private, government and government-aided colleges started admission process while the Central Board of Secondary Education is likely to declare the CBSE Class 12 results in the first week of May.
As per the admission schedule released by director of collegiate education, the last date for applications prescribed as May 7, raising concerns among students and parents.
Meanwhile, according to a report of Times of India, some colleges have informed that they would reserve seats for CBSE students.
Around 25,000 students have reportedly appeared for Class 12 exam from the State while from Chennai alone, a total of about 15,000 students have appeared for the board exams.
Recently, CBSE dismissed rumours and speculations stating that the evaluation process of the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams is on and results might be released earlier. The Board also clarified that they have not yet decided anything related to the results dates.
CBSE also urged students and parents to not believe in rumours related to the CBSE Class 10, 12 results and asked them to wait till the official announcement of dates by the Board.
“The date of the declaration of result will be communicated to the media houses, just a day before the declaration of results. As per now, the third week of May (May 12 to 17) is the probable date for declaration of results, but it may change,” said CBSE chairman Anita Karwal.
CBSE class 10 results are normally declared by the end of May while class 12 results are usually announced a week before the class 10 results.
Earlier, a Board official had said that the CBSE board exam results would be released in the third week of May, however the Board clarified later that the paper evaluation process is on and no date has been fixed yet for the results' declaration.
Besides, as the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 were released on May 29 and May 26 respectively, last year, it has been assumed that the result might be out by the end of this month only.
Last year, CBSE had to face paper leak incidents following which the Board even had to re-conduct Economics paper of Class 12. However, in a commendable fete, CBSE concluded the examinations this year without any such incident. The Board also took stern action against those spreading fake news of leak.
Moreover, CBSE is believed to be planning some changes in the syllabus of Class 10 and Class 12 syllabus with an aim to ensure better learning and more. However, details related to the changes, if any, is yet to be released.
According to a report of Times Of India, students can now check their results CBSE Class 12 Arts, Science and Commerce results on the official website of the Board - cbse.nic.in.
Results of the same can be check on other websites like, cbse.examresults.net, cbseresults.nic.in and results.gov.in.

Meanwhile, Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora have topped the CBSE Class 12 exams scoring 499 marks each, informed CBSE chairman Anita Karwal.
The CBSE had conducted the annual examination for Class 10 and Class 12 in the February-March 2019. A total of 31,14,821 candidates had registered for the board examinations this year including 28 transgender.
