The MeT Centre in Bhubaneswar on Saturday said that people in the areas, which are likely to get affected by the cyclonic storm 'Jawad', should move to safer places before it comes closer to the Puri Coast on Sunday.
The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has issued an advisory for the residents of the Twin Cities (Bhubaneswar, Cuttack) in view of the cyclone Jawad, which is fast approaching the Puri coast.
The landfall process of Cyclone Gulab is likely to commence from the evening today (September 26). Latest weather report suggests that the cyclonic storm, which is expected to hit the coast between Kalingapatnam and Gopalpur during midnight, moved westwards with a speed of 18 km per hour during the last 3 hours.
