Tapsee said this on Monday while interacting with the media here to promote her debut short film 'Nitishastra' along with her co- actor Vicky Arora and director Kapil Verma. The actress is making her debut in short film format with "Nitishashtra".
Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan will be working together in director Sujoy Ghosh tentatively titled "Badla" after their successful outing "Pink".
Talking about the film and her character of a business woman in it, Taapsee said: "It's slightly more glamorized character than my earlier characters which I have played but it is not on the lines of my glamorous role in 'Judwaa 2'."
"Badla" is a murder mystery which is being produced by Sunir Kheterpal and directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
"It's a Sujoy Ghosh film, so there will not be only glamorous side to my character but it will be much more than that. It is going to be very powerful role again. We will start shooting of the film from June 14."
Talking about her other upcoming projects, Taapsee said: "Trailer of 'Soorma' will be launched on June 11 and it will release on July 13. By the end of June, trailer of 'Mulk' will be released and the movie will release on July 27. 'Manmarziyaan' will release on September 7."
"It is going to be exciting year for me. I think 2018 is very critical year for me because I have tried to work in non-conventional films," she said.
Asked if she felt any difference while working in a short film as compared to full length feature film, Tapsee said: "When Kapil (Verma) made it, I actually felt like I am on normal film set. I didn't get the feeling that it's a short film so, it has less production value and whatever. This made me very clear that there is market for short films and audience want to see it."
Apart from this, she will be also seen in Telugu film "Neevevaroo" which also stars Aadhi Pinisetty, and Ritika Singh in the lead roles.
On Sunday, the 76-year-old actor celebrated the 41st anniversary of the release of "Don", which is one of the most popular characters essayed by him.
"'Don' was a name title that no one in the market approved of. They never understood what it meant and never felt that a name such as 'DON' was material for the title of a Hindi film. In fact, if truth be told... for many it was quite an amusing title," Bachchan wrote on his blog.
The "Badla" star also shared a funny anecdote on the film title's comparison with a "very popular brand of vests".
"They were carrying the name 'DAWN'. DON phonetically sounded much like that brand of undergarment in the market. There was consternation in titling a film that conveyed an undergarment," he added.
The actor revealed after the release of Hollywood classic "Godfather", the title 'Don' became "respectable".
"Much later, of course, with the 'Godfather' series the word garnered enough publicity and reckoning, to be respectable enough. But till then, initially, it was in the realm of humour."
The film was written by popular writer duo Salim-Javed and directed by Chandra Barot. It also starred Zeenat Aman, Iftekhar, Helen and Pran.
Taapsee Unaffected By What Anyone Says
The actress while cleverly hinting at the remarks made by Chandel said that Kangana is a very good actress and that she is not at all affected by anything she says. The brutal tweet was made by Rangoli Chandel after Taapsee posted a tweet appreciating the movie of Kangana, “Judgemental Hai Kya?” sans any mention of the actress.
While replying to the media on “sasti copy” comment of Chandel, the “Pink” actress stated, "For me, Kangana is a very good actress, she was and she still is... But other than this, she doesn't affect me in my life. It doesn't affect me what she says. There are a lot of people saying a lot of things on my Twitter timeline."
Taapsee further added that even though she has never spoken to the “Queen” star, the latter is her senior and if ever they come face to face, she won’t mind greeting her with a hello. Taapsee is known for her natural performances in movies such as Naam Shabana, Pink, Mulk, Badla, Manmarziyaan, and Soorma. She was last seen in the film Game Over and will be seen next in “Mission Mangal” co-starring Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar, Kriti Kulhari, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sharman Joshi.

Taapsee To Play An Incredibly Fast Runner
Through her last few releases including Manmarziyan, Soorma, and Badla, Taapsee has proved multiple times that she is one actress who is open for all types of challenges. After impressing the audience with her acting in “Soorma” which is a sports drama released in 2018, the actress is all set to once again return to the same genre with “Rashmi Rocket.”
In this flick directed by Akash Khurana, Taapsee plays the role of an incredibly fast runner from Kutch, Gujarat. The first look of Rashmi shows Taapsee with tattooed neck, curly tresses, choker and a heavy nose pin and studs. While discussing her reason to select this film Taapsee said, "This story instantly hit the right chord when I heard the idea. It's one of those few films I was waiting to be developed into a script for me to do. Funnily, I have been made to run in almost every film I've done in every other genre. But this time, it's going to be an out-and-out athlete's tale. What excited me the most was the human drama that unfolds in her life, which makes it much more than a regular story of an athlete."
"Even when I do films like 'Badla', I had more working days or scenes so to say than Mr. Bachchan. He was the hero of the film, I was the antagonist. But the antagonist has more presence in the film than the protagonist. But eventually the film releases, they call it an Amitabh Bachchan film. Yes, when I raise my voice and say I've done almost equal if not more, that's when people recognised and started taking my name because it's such a male-dominated industry, they don't even realise that I might have done more work actually. It was called Sir's film, it won't be called a female film regardless of the fact that I have more scenes, it will be called an Amitabh Bachchan film and the credit will go there," Taapsee said on Neha Dhupia's show, according to a report in pinkvilla.com
