ASUS emerged among the top 5 online smartphone brands in India this year.
"We are delighted to bring ZenFone Max Pro M2 that will offer Indian consumers flagship-level experience in mid-range segment," Leon Yu, Regional Head, India and South Asia, ASUS, said in a statement.
With 2.5D-curved front edges, ZenFone Max Pro M2 has a premium wave glass finish on the back.
It is the first phone in the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment to feature Corning's Gorilla Glass 6.
On the front, its screen features a small full-function notch which includes a LED flash, camera, earpiece, notification LED, ambient and proximity sensors.
The device is powered by 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip with AIE.
There's a pair of 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor at the rear and a 13MP selfie shooter.
The other phone, ASUS Zenfone Max M2, comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor.
On the front, it has a 13MP camera along with a LED Flash while on the rear is a pair of 13MP primary lens with a 2MP lens.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
ZenFone 5Z comes with a 6.2-inch SuperIPS FHD+ display and dual-cameras and has dual 5-magnet speakers that put out stereo sound powered by dual NXP amplifiers.
The device has four 0.06-mm slim carbon cooling pads that efficiently dissipate heat and maintain top performance at all times, the company claimed.
It houses a high-capacity 3300 mAh battery with Qualcomm "QuickCharge" 3.0 fast-charge technology.
ZenFone 5Z introduces AI charging to maximize the battery life.
Additionally, there are face unlock, rear fingerprint sensor and the integrated NFC features in the smartphone.
The products were unveiled by ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih at a press event at "Computex 2018" in Taipei.
"The press event also included a special sneak peek at 'Project Precog', a brand-new concept device and the world's first convertible dual-screen notebook equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) features," the company said in a statement.
"We aspire to bring out the best in everyone by helping them unleash their creative power with beauty, performance, innovation and state-of-the-art technology including AI," said Shih.
Along with the onstage announcements, ASUS also showcased additional feature products including the Zen AiO 27 all-in-one PC, VivoBook Flip 14 convertible notebook, Lyra Voice 3-in-1 Smart Voice Router and more.
"Computex 2018" commenced on Tuesday at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre and will continue up to June 9.
The Taiwanese tech giant also introduced "ASUS Gaming FX503" notebook that will be available at Rs 69,990 (starting price).

The new series delights not only those who care about performance but also those who demand great aesthetics, thus enabling E-sports contenders to gain the winning edge," Arnold Su, National Business Development Manager, PC and Gaming, said in a statement.
With a desktop-style keyboard layout, N-key rollover and fast-actuating keys, "ROG Strix SCAR" edition features Intel core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 series graphics cards.
"ROG Strix Hero" edition features Intel core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series graphics cards and runs Windows 10 OS.
It packs a 120Hz wide-view IPS display and a desktop-style keyboard with N-key rollover for fast, precise response to every input.
"ROG Strix GL503" sports a keyboard layout inspired by desktop designs, featuring four hotkeys and four customisable RGB-backlit zones. It has an ergonomic 0.25mm-deep keycap curve with ROG-exclusive overstroke technology.
The device also has a thermal design that employs heat pipes and dual 12V fans to automatically adjust the cooling system.
"ASUS Gaming FX503" houses Intel i7-7700HQ CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. The intelligent dual-fan cooling design enables intense gaming sessions without throttling, the company claimed.
The 4GB RAM and 64GB "UFS 2.0" will be available for $599 while the 8GB RAM and 256GB variant will be available for $799.
The convertible laptop is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile PC platform and features a Gigabit Snapdragon X16 LTE modem that, the company claimed, offers download speeds exceeding that of typical home Wi-Fi.
"Today marks the beginning of a new era of personal computing and ASUS is very proud to be paving the way with Qualcomm Technologies and other partners to develop this new landscape for 'Always Connected' Windows on Snapdragon PCs," Jerry Shen, CEO, ASUS, said in a statement.
The device has four antennas to support ultrafast connectivity through LTE Advanced Cat 16 cellular networking.
The device has up to 22-hour battery life with over 30 days of stand-by time and a built-in eSIM that ensures seamless connectivity across borders, the company said.
eSIM is an integrated chip that provides an always connected experience, enabling users to switch carriers easily without having to physically swap out SIM cards.
Users can simply activate a local data plan from Windows Store the moment they step off the plane. In addition, data sent via the 4G and 5G bands is encrypted, making it safer than public Wi-Fi.
"ASUS NovaGo is a convertible laptop with leading Gigabit LTE connectivity and battery life that revolutionises what the personal PC can be for consumers," Cristiano Amon, President, Qualcomm Technologies Inc, said in a statement.
The device features Microsoft Windows 10 operating system with new features such as "Windows Ink", "Windows Hello" and Cortana.
The Full-HD display features 178 degree wide-view technology.
In an independent online polling campaign run by IGN India, a fan-focused entertainment website that offers gaming and lifestyle-related stories, nearly 77 per cent of respondents chose ASUS motherboards over ASROCK (11 per cent), GIGABYTE AORUS (9.10 per cent) and MSI (2.20 per cent).
In the graphic card category, ASUS ROG garnered 57 per cent votes for the best hardware, followed by Zotac (28.50 per cent), GIGABYTE AORUS (12 per cent) and Galax (two per cent).
ASUS also topped the list in monitors category.
ASUS monitors got 45 per cent votes followed by BenQ (33 per cent), Dell (15 per cent) and Samsung (7 per cent).
The campaign started on August 24 and the voting closed on September 5.
'ROG G701' features a wide-viewing-angle 4K UHD display with an overclockable 'NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080' graphics for virtual-reality (VR) gaming experience.
Powered by Intel Core i7 processor, the laptop runs on 64GB DDR4 DRAM, 'HyperDrive RAID 0', 'NVMe' and 'PCIe' technologies for fast storage speeds, the company said in a statement.
The machine boasts 8GB 'GDDR5X' GPU and its 'Trinity Display Technology' makes the machine capable of giving three displays simultaneously, using HDMI, Thunderbolt and mini-display connectors.
The gaming laptop comes with the 'ROG Gaming Center' portal that contains options such as monitoring and fine-tuning system components, managing game profiles, keyboard profiles and macros, display and audio equaliser profiles.
ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080i and ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be available by end of March in India. Prices will be announced soon, the company said in a statement.
These gaming graphics cards feature the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics processing units (GPU) that deliver 35 per cent faster performance than GeForce GTX 1080 and outperformes the NVIDIA Titan X during gaming.

Standing in solidarity with the nation during these testing times, ASUS India said it has delayed the launch that was originally slated during this month until the current situation improves.
"While we have been very excited to launch our new smartphone at same time as global, ASUS India's top priority in these challenging times is the safety of our customers, partners, employees and all other stakeholders in the fight against the virus," said Dinesh Sharma, Business Head, Commercial PC and Smartphone, System Business Group, Asus in India.
"Hence we have consciously decided to defer the launch until the current scenario improves," Sharma added.
The company will disclose the new launch date once the situation improves.
Asus ZenFone 8 series was likely to feature two phones — Asus ZenFone 8 and Asus ZenFone 8 Flip.
Laptops powered by the 9th Gen Intel Core mobile processors would launch from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI, starting April 23, as they introduce the most compelling laptops for gaming and content creation.
"Our new 9th Gen platform is designed to delight gamers, creators and performance users by giving them more of what they want.
We are bringing desktop-caliber performance with up to 5 Ghz and 8 cores in a range of thinner systems and new level of connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) so users can game or create where they want," Fredrik Hamberger, General Manager, Premium and Gaming Laptop Segments, Intel, said in a statement.
At the top of the stack is the 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9980HK processor -- the first Core i9 mobile chip with up to 5 GHz2 and "Thermal Velocity Boost", 8 cores and 16 threads, and support for 16MB of Intel Smart Cache.
The full range of processors include Intel Core i5, i7 and the unlocked Intel Core i9-9980HK for higher performance.
The chipset making giant also made additions to the 9th Gen Intel Core desktop processor family.
The 9th Gen Intel Core desktop processor lineup now includes more than 25 products with options ranging from Intel Core i3 to Intel Core i9.
"The family also brings Pentium Gold and Celeron products to market for entry-level computing, giving consumers even more options to find the right desktop to fit their specific need and budgets," the company said.
With the ZenBook Pro Duo and ZenBook Duo, the company has paved way to a new form factor for laptops and come equipped with both a keyboard and a secondary touchscreen for input.
"The need for the industry to evolve with the changing times necessitates innovation. As one amongst the industry incumbents, we realised it was both an opportunity and responsibility for us to push the envelope, disrupt the status quo, and come up with a magnificent offering," Arnold Su, Head of Consumer Notebooks and ROG Business, ASUS India, said in a statement.
The company refreshed its Zenbook line up with with Intel 10th Gen Processor in UX334, UX434 and UX534, for Rs 84,990, Rs 84,990 and Rs 1,24,990, respectively.
ASUS also launched Vivobook S431 for Rs 54,990 and Vivobook S532 for Rs 69,990.
The ZenBook Pro Duo features a full-width 4K ASUS ScreenPad Plus that works seamlessly with the main 4K UHD OLED display, while Zenbook Duo features a full-length 1920p ASUSScreenPad Plus that works with the main 1080p FHD LCD display.
The ZenBook Pro Duo offers a 4K UHD NanoEdge OLED HDR display with a four-sided frameless design and ultra-slim bezels.
The OLED touchscreen has a cinema-grade 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The screen-to-body ratio is 89 per cent.
The ZenBook Duo is equipped with 1080p FHD NanoEdge display and comes with a four-sided frameless design featuring 90 per cent screen to body ratio.
"The latest offerings by the brand is going to empower India's creative individuals -- content creators, editors, in addition to passionate gamers and corporate clan, to de-clutter from myriad screens and unlock efficiencies through a singular, integrated offering," added Su.
Due to the nation-wide lockdown that started on March 25, IT hardware production distribution had largely remained shut in India, impacting sales revenue in April. However, much of these activities are set to reopen starting Monday as several restrictions are set to be lifted.
"We do have a slew of launches scheduled in the later half of the year. Quite immediately we are looking forward to a couple of launches from the gaming segment starting June 2020," Arnold Su, Business Head, Consumer & Gaming PC, System Business Group, ASUS India, told IANS in an email interview.
To meet the expected surge in demand for laptops as companies implement "work from home" for their employees' education goes online, ASUS India is working on boosting its plans with its current partners like Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm and other e-commerce platforms, while the company also plans to revive its retail expansion strategy in "due course".
"We have been bullish in the offline space prior to the lockdown and we intend to continue with the same gusto at a more appropriate time. We have more than 100 ASUS exclusive stores (AES) and our aim is to have 200 AES by 2020 financial year," he said.
"We believe that once the lockdown is lifted/relaxed, there will be an increase in online shopping. But at the same time we also foresee the growth of the offline route once things return to normalcy," Su said.
India is one of the core markets in the Asia Pacific region for ASUS which contributes significantly to the global growth of the organisation.
"The laptop market in India is among the top 10 largest markets in the world. ASUS PC segment is 15 years old in India and currently we have a 13-15 per cent market share which is testimony to our rapid growth in this geography," Su said.
Citing an internal study, ASUS India said it has grown in its consumer PC segment by 44 per cent in Q1 2020 vs Q4 2019, whereas the PC market overall witnessed a decline by 22 per cent in the same period.
ASUS India believes that its aggressive retail expansion in India prior to the lockdown helped it maintain this growth in Q1.
"Collaborating with large format stores like Reliance, Vijay Sales among others has been successful and we aim to continue with these partnerships," Su said.
"We do foresee a considerable impact on the overall laptop business in India by 30-40 per cent in Q2 2020 as compared to Q2 2019," he said.
ASUS said that in light of the pandemic, it had undertaken measured approaches to safeguard employees and mitigate financial and operational exposure with various resilience plans for business continuity.
"In spite of the severity of the pandemic, we are continuing with our annual appraisals and ensuring employee benefits are safeguarded," Su said.
"We are committed to ensuring that there is no disruption in our ability to serve customers, societies and our employees," he added.
