Family court in Cuttack has levied penalty of Rs 5,000 each on MP-actor Anubhav Mohanty and actress-wife Varsha Priyadarshini.The court came down heavily on the estranged couple for deliberately delaying court proceedings and levied the fine.
Anubhav and Varsha, who took their reel life love story forward and tied the knot in 2014, have been fighting the legal battle for divorce.

The next hearing of the petition will be held in the High Court on August 30.
Earlier on August 4, the High Court had granted interim relief to Ollywood actress Varsha Priyadarshini, her mother and niece in connection with the case.
On the other hand, the parliamentarian has already released a couple of videos. In one of the videos, he criticised Varsha and dared her to go through forensic, lie detection and medical test.
The SDJM court in Cuttack had on June 2 directed Varsha to vacate her husband's house. The court had asked Anubhav to pay Rs 30,000 to Varsha on/before 10th of every month for her accommodation.
Mohanty sent the holy book to Varsha through her lawyer following the hearing at the family court in Cuttack.
On June 2, while hearing a petition filed by actor-turned politician Anubhav Mohanty, the sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) court had directed his estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini to vacate the lawmaker’s parental home.
In her complaint, the actress alleged that Anubhav has disobeyed court's directive by sharing his opinion on social media platforms despite prohibitory orders from the court.
After the social media war, the actor-turned-politician now lodged a complaint against Varsha with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) accusing the latter of evading tax by illegal means. In his letter to ED, Anubhav has sought a thorough probe into the matter.
The actor-turned-politician thanked his fans who stood by his side during his ups and downs.
He further asked the news portals and YouTube channels not to mislead the general public by publishing such fake, meaningless and fake news.
