"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a subsidy of Rs 200 on domestic cylinders for the mothers and sisters of the country on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Onam.

Speaking in Lok Sabha during  no-confidence motion debate in Lok Sabha brought by the Opposition, Shah said PM Modi PM Modi's government is the only one that won the trust of most of the people. 

Top BJP leaders from the state, who were having a discussion with the Home minister over a breakfast meeting, discreetly left the place as soon as Pandian arrived so that the two could have a free and frank chat without being constrained by the presence of ‘others’!

"From 2015-2019, there has been a 30% decrease in the number of naxal incidents, a 32% decrease in encounters, and a 56% decrease in death of security personnel. I thank Odisha government and Naveen babu for extending cooperation to us to curb Naxalism," Shah added.

As part of the visit to Odisha, Shah inaugurated the 51-kilometre-long 4-lane stretch on National Highway (NH) 53 connecting Kamkhyanagar and Duburi. 

According to sources, Shah will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Friday night and attend a government programme on Saturday. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is also scheduled to attend the event.

Shah assured the depositors that no one can stop their money now and that they will get the refund in 45 days after registering on the portal.

Earlier, the NCB Bhubaneswar zonal unit was working as a sub-zone under Kolkata. Now it has been upgraded into a full-fledged independent zone that will cover the entire Odisha. The staff strength, which was only 15, will be increased to 100 in the coming phases.

He said cases against drug peddlers have increased by 181 per cent -- from 1,257 cases between 2006 and 2013 to 3,544 between 2014 and 2022.

The protesting wrestlers were manhandled and detained by Delhi Police and their arrangements at the protest site were dismantled.
