The recovery of 6,322 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,39,13,294. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.70 per cent.
Odisha on Tuesday recorded the highest-ever single-day deaths due to COVID19 infection since the onset of the pandemic. The state registered as many as 59 deaths taking the total fatalities count of the state to 4,358, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The total fatalities in the state climbed to 4248, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department. There has been no significant decline in the daily infections as Odisha recorded 2,803 positive cases during the period, of which 1,597 were from quarantine cases and 1206 are local contacts. The state's TPR stood at 3.75%.
