Hyderabad: The first Women World Cup Kabaddi tournament will be held in Patna between March 1 and 4, a press note released here said.

The tournament will be organised by the Bihar Government on the occasion of "Bihar Sthapana Divas" under the auspices of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, Asian Kabaddi Federation and International Kabaddi Federation, the release said.

In all 16 countries have confirmed their participation in the World Cup Kabaddi, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India said in a release.

The 16 countries are USA, Malaysia, Mexico, Taipei China, Italy, Sri Lanka, Canada, Nepal, Japan, Iran, Korea, Bangladesh, Indonesia, England, Thailand besides India.

The Championship will be played under floodlights on synthetic mat at the Indoor Stadium in Patna, the release added.
