Suniel Shetty is brand ambassador of WSH
New Delhi: Bollywood action hero Suniel Shetty has been appointed as the `Brand Ambassador` for the World Series Hockey, a lucrative hockey tournament starting February 29.
“The popular Bollywood action hero is a passionate sports-buff, will do extensive promotions for the most-awaited landmark hockey championship,” a press release said.
The organisers of the Rs 10-crore league also announced cash prize for Indian players, who will feature in WSH, upon qualifying for the London Olympics.
Rs five lakh will be given to every WSH player in the Indian Team if the team makes the cut for the London Olympics. If the Indian team wins a bronze Medal at the 2012 Olympics, Rs 50 lakh will given to the team. the money will be divided equally amongst all WSH players in the team.
If the Indian team wins a silver Medal, it will give players Rs 1 crore and double the amount on winning the gold medal.
