Mumbai: Known to be temperamental both on and off the field, disgraced cricketer S Sreesanth wrote motivational notes in his diaries for self-control and read them regularly, apparently to keep his "moody" behaviour under check, police said on Monday.

"I need to do more practice and training; I need to control my anger and emotions," read some of the entries in the diaries seized by the Mumbai Crime Branch from his hotel room during a search, a day after his arrest for alleged involvement in IPL spot-fixing scandal.

"The diaries recovered from a hotel room booked by Sreesanth have his personal day-to-day activities details and many self-motivational notes," said a police officer involved in the investigation.

On May 16, Mumbai Crime Branch sleuths had searched the Sofitel hotel rooms occupied by Sreesanth and Jiju Janardhan, his close friend and bookie arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi police.
