Lok Sabha Election 2024 LIVE Updates: Over 62 per cent turnout recorded in first phase

The first phase of voting began today on 102 seats across 21 states and UTs and 92 Assembly Constituencies in the state assembly elections in Arunachal and Sikkim. In the first phase, polls were conducted in all seats of Tamil Nadu (39), Rajasthan (12), Uttar Pradesh (8), Madhya Pradesh (6), Uttarakhand (5), Arunachal Pradesh (2), Meghalaya (2), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (1), Mizoram (1), Nagaland (1), Puducherry (1), Sikkim (1) and Lakshadweep (1). Moreover, polling was also held for five seats each in Assam and Maharashtra while four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two in Manipur, and one seat each in Jammu and Kashmir, Tripura and Chhattisgarh.
