Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, is all set to make his highly anticipated big screen debut with Ikkis, a war drama based on the real-life heroics of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who laid down his life during the 1971 Indo-Pak war at the age of 21.
Directed by the acclaimed Sriram Raghavan, the film promises an intense, emotional journey through the life and sacrifice of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient.

A Stirring Teaser and a Poignant Tribute
The recently released announcement video opens with a moving letter addressed to Arun Khetarpal’s father, conveying the tragic news of his son’s death in the Battle of Basantar on December 16, 1971. The narration, steeped in grief and respect, sets the tone for a film that is as much about courage as it is about the human cost of war.
Visuals of fiery battlegrounds and stark silhouettes follow, capturing Arun’s bravery in the face of overwhelming odds. The teaser paints a vivid picture of youth, patriotism, and sacrifice, with Agastya Nanda seen charging into battle with fierce resolve.
Support from Suhana Khan and Bollywood Friends
As buzz builds around Agastya’s debut, Suhana Khan, daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, showed her support by sharing the Ikkis teaser on her Instagram story, along with a heart and smiling emoji—a gesture fans see as a sweet nod to their rumoured relationship.
Ananya Panday, a close friend to both, also reposted the teaser, adding a folded hands and Indian flag emoji, referring to Agastya fondly as “Aggy.”
His sister Navya Naveli Nanda left a heart emoji in the comments, while Naomika Saran, Akshay Kumar’s niece, also joined in with messages of encouragement, rounding out the wave of love pouring in for the young actor.
An Ensemble Cast and Release Date
Joining Agastya in Ikkis are veteran actor Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat, both playing key roles in the emotionally charged narrative. Backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the movie is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2025, aligning with Gandhi Jayanti.
