Madrid: Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart described Fernando's own goal - the only one of two-legged Chamopions League semi-final - as "Real's lucky goal" that handed the Spanish giants a passage to the final.

The first leg ended 0-0 at Manchester and Madrid won the second leg 1-0 at home here on Wednesday, reports Xinhua.

"We could easily be in the final. They managed the game well, and got a very lucky goal, they have beaten us with lucky goal but it is what it is," said the British goalkeeper in the post-match interview with BT Sport on Wednesday, reports Efe.

"They created very little over the two legs, so did we in fairness. It was a close semi-final and we've come out the wrong side of it," the England national team goalkeeper.

City's first Champions League final dream ended disappointedly on Wednesday night.

Hart said "They couldn't kill it off. We defended well when needed and we just didn't have that little bit more. Did we do enough to win the game? I don't know (...) we turned up to win the game, we turn up to win every single game. That's gone now, we need to look to Sunday."
