Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had a proud husband moment as his wife Rivaba Jadeja was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister in the Gujarat government on October 17. The 34-year-old BJP leader was among 25 ministers inducted in the state’s major Cabinet reshuffle marking a significant milestone in her steady political journey since joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2019.
Rivaba, who married the Indian all-rounder in 2016, has been actively involved in public work in Jamnagar and has quickly become a respected face in Gujarat politics.

Jadeja’s Proud Message
Soon after the announcement, Jadeja took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a heartfelt note for his wife. “So proud of you & your accomplishments. I know you will keep doing amazing work and inspiring people from all walks of life. Wish you great success as the Cabinet Minister in the Gujarat government. Jai Hind,” he wrote, reflecting his pride and admiration for her achievement.
The couple shares a daughter, Nidhyana, and Jadeja often credits his family for being his biggest support system.
Focus Back on Cricket
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old all-rounder is preparing for India’s upcoming Test series against South Africa, starting November 14. After an impressive outing against the West Indies scoring 104 runs and taking eight wickets, Jadeja aims to continue his strong form.
Though rested for the Australia white-ball series, the star cricketer remains focused on his long-term goal, representing India at the 2027 ODI World Cup and helping the team 'finish what was left incomplete.'
