Are you looking to simplify your bank transaction records? While it is important to keep your finances transparent, there are good reasons to streamline your transaction history.
For example, small purchases, like a Rs 50 breakfast, can clutter your bank passbook with too many entries.
To help manage this, consider using NPCI's UPI Lite payment solution. This innovative feature allows you to make low-value transactions without them showing up in your passbook, giving you a clearer view of your finances.
It is a smart way to keep your transaction history concise while staying on top of your budget.
Here’s how you can set it up:
-
Open your UPI app, like Google Pay or PhonePe.
-
On the home page, look for the UPI Lite option and activate it by adding up to Rs 2000. You will receive a notification once the transaction is successful, and you will see your updated balance.
Now, when you make payments under Rs 500 by scanning a QR code, you will see the option for UPI Lite. You can pay without entering your PIN. This means that everyday transactions, like breakfast, lunch, or fuel, will only show as a single entry in your passbook.
Additionally, NPCI has announced a new feature for UPI Lite. Starting October 31, users will have the option to enable auto top-up to reload their accounts automatically with a chosen amount.
