Basel: Para shuttler Pramod Bhagat clinched yet another gold medal at World Para-Badminton Championships in Switzerland's Basel on Sunday. Bhagat pocketed the yellow metal after beating Daniel Bethell of England 6-21,21-14,21-5 in the final of men’s singles SL 3 category.
Earlier, Bhagat had won gold medal in men’s doubles category. He had partnered with Manoj Sarkar and outplayed another Indian team of Nitesh Kumar and Tarun with 14-21,21-15,21-16 scoreline.
With today’s win, Bhagat has won three singles and two doubles titles in the World Championships. The para shuttler is slated to receive the prestigious Arjuna award on National Sports Day on August 29.
