Bhubaneswar: Congress MLA of Jagatsinghpur Chiranjibi Biswal on Monday refuted the allegations made by BJD leaders that the former had filed false affidavit with the Chief Election Commission prior to the recently held polls.
“The charge of hiding facts in the affidavit is completely false. The land about which allegations are being made is of my parental property; I have mentioned about that in the affidavit,” said Biswal emphatically.
The Congress MLA added it is a conspiracy to tarnish his clean image.
On Saturday, BJD leader Dolagobinda Das brought an allegation Biswal filed false affidavit with the CEC.
Similarly, another BJD leader and former Jagatsinghpur MLA Bishnu Das supported his party man’s claim and said on Monday Biswal had hidden about his land in Tulanga mouza under Tirtol block in the affidavit.
