Flights Suspended, Anxiety Mounts

Commercial departures from the United Arab Emirates have been halted following missile and drone strikes launched by Iran. The attacks reportedly came in response to joint Israeli and US operations in Tehran that resulted in the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. As a result, thousands of travellers, including Bairstow and his family, have been unable to leave the country.

Taking to social media, Bairstow wrote: “For those writing that I'm with the England Lions team... I am not. I am with my young family in Dubai... I am trying to keep my family safe and get us out of here!!”
