London: Just 24 hours after Liverpool staged one of the greatest comebacks in the history of European football by overthrowing Messi and Co's first leg 3-0 lead with a stunning 4-0 drubbing of the Catalans at Anfield, English giant Tottenham Hotspur also pulled off another dramatic comebacks that the beautiful game has ever seen.
Tottenham Hotspur are through to their first Champions League final thanks to a Lucas Moura hat-trick in the semifinal second leg against Ajax whom they defeated 3-2.
Trailing 0-1 after the first leg in London, Spurs on Wednesday conceded two more goals at Amsterdam's Johan Cruyff Arena before the Brazilian caught fire in the second half to level the tie at 3-3 and allow the Premier League club to advance on away goals, reports Efe news.
The result means that the red half of Merseyside will face the Londonders in what would be the second only all-English contest in the European Champions League history after Manchester United and Chelsea locked horns for the elite trophy back in 2008. The final of the showpiece event will be held on Saturday June 1 at Estadio Metropolitano, Madrid.
