Batting Woes: Overhaul Expected

Chennai’s batting line-up struggled throughout, posting the lowest powerplay strike rate (8.70) and the second-fewest sixes of the season. Underperforming names such as Devon Conway, Rahul Tripathi, Deepak Hooda, and even marquee signing Sam Curran fell short of expectations. With ageing profiles and inconsistent returns, a major batting shake-up is inevitable.

Jadeja’s Potential Exit Leaves a Strategic Hole

Reports of Ravindra Jadeja possibly being traded to the Rajasthan Royals have amplified the concerns. With Ravichandran Ashwin retiring, CSK may lose two of their sharpest cricketing minds. The spin responsibility could fall on Noor Ahmad, but the franchise must strengthen its spin resources in the auction.
