Actor Sonu Sood’s wife, Sonali Sood, sustained injuries in a severe car accident on the Mumbai-Nagpur highway late on Monday night.
According to sources, the accident took place when she was travelling with her sister and nephew, who was behind the wheel when their vehicle collided with a truck. Both Sonali and her nephew sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Max Hospital in Nagpur.
Reports indicate that Sonali’s sister escaped with only minor wounds. Upon being informed about the accident, Sonu Sood immediately rushed to Nagpur, reports said.
On the professional front, Sonu Sood was last seen in Fateh, an intense action thriller that marked his directorial debut. The film, centered around cybercrime, featured actors like Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in key roles.
Produced under the banners of Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios by Sonu Sood and Umesh KR Bansal, Fateh hit theatres on January 10 and is now available for streaming on JioHotstar. While the film received mixed reactions from critics and audiences, its action sequences were well-received, though the storyline was noted as somewhat predictable.
