After India’s hard-fought victory in the first ODI against South Africa in Ranchi, celebrations broke out at the team hotel. But while KL Rahul cut a celebratory cake and teammates gathered around, a different moment caught fans' attention an intense conversation between Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir, and Virat Kohli quietly walking away despite being urged to join the festivities.
Hotel Lobby Video Sparks Buzz Online
A video circulating on social media shows India head coach Gautam Gambhir and senior batter Rohit Sharma deep in conversation in the hotel lobby. Moments later, the camera shifts to skipper KL Rahul, who cuts a victory cake as staff and fans cheer.
However, what surprised many was Virat Kohli’s reaction. Despite being called by fans and hotel staff, Kohli continued walking, choosing not to join the celebrations.

More Intense Exchanges Seen in Dressing Room
This wasn’t the only moment that caught attention. Earlier at the Ranchi stadium, Rohit and Gambhir were also spotted having a serious conversation in the dressing room shortly after India clinched a tense 17-run win to go 1-0 up in the series.
Reports suggest that not all is well between head coach Gambhir and senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. According to a BCCI source quoted by Dainik Jagran, their relationship has 'turned cold'.
BCCI Plans Crucial Meeting Before Second ODI
The BCCI is reportedly planning a key meeting ahead of the second ODI in Raipur, aimed at addressing internal communication issues. Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar are expected to attend.
It remains unclear whether Kohli and Rohit will be present, but the cricket world is watching closely as tensions simmer beneath India’s on-field success.
