End of an Era Confirmed by Sony TV
On Saturday, Sony TV posted an official tribute on Instagram featuring ACP Pradyuman’s image with the text: “In the loving memory of ACP Pradyuman… A loss that will never be forgotten.” The caption ‘End of an era. ACP Pradyuman (1998-2025)’ effectively confirmed the character’s death in the storyline, sparking an immediate emotional reaction from fans across platforms.

However, the absence of a body or any final dialogue has left the audience in suspense, with many holding out hope for a twist.
Backlash From Devoted Fans
Fans were quick to express their anger and sorrow on social media. One impassioned comment read, “It’s not RIP to ACP Pradyuman. It’s RIP to CID. And RIP to Sony TV. Because with this one heartless move, you didn’t just end a character. You buried a legacy.”
Another user lamented, “Even if Shivaji sir wanted to leave, you still had a choice. You could have given him the farewell he deserved.” Many echoed the sentiment, demanding a more respectful and heroic end for a character that has defined a generation of Indian television.
Shivaji Satam Responds to Speculation
Speaking to Bombay Times, Shivaji Satam stated, “I have no clue about this. I have taken a break for some time and the makers know what lies ahead in the show.” He further added, “I have not been told whether my track is over or not. As of now, I am not shooting for the show.”
Satam’s comments have added fuel to speculation that ACP Pradyuman may not be gone for good, and that the explosive scene might only be a narrative device.
