Panaji: About 3,500 sports persons drawn from schools in 27 States and Union Territories will take part in 57th National School Games beginning here from November 1.

The six-day sporting event, involving boys and girls aged between 14 and 19, is being under the aegis of the Goa Government and School Games Federation of India.

The young participants will vie for honours in disciplines like football, martial arts, tug-of-war, swimming, diving and water polo.
