ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 witnessed a thrilling semi-final clash as the ‘Men in Blue’ stormed into the final after a dominant victory over England at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. With the win, India have set up a blockbuster summit clash against the New Zealand national cricket team.

 Batting first after England won the toss and chose to field, India produced a sensational batting performance to post a massive 253/7 in 20 overs, one of the highest totals in T20 World Cup knockout history. The innings was anchored by a brilliant knock from Sanju Samson, who smashed 89 runs off just 42 balls, hitting eight fours and seven sixes to put England’s bowlers under immense pressure.

Samson received strong support from several Indian batters. Ishan Kishan played a rapid cameo of 39 runs off 18 balls, while Shivam Dube added 43 off 25 deliveries with powerful hitting in the middle overs. Towards the end, Hardik Pandya blasted 27 off 12 balls, and Tilak Varma struck a quick 21 off 7 balls, helping India cross the 250-run mark.
