Mumbai: BCCI Vice-President Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said last year`s England tour and the ongoing four-match Test series in Australia were among the low points in Indian cricket.

"This team has done exceedingly well in the last decade but the England and the Australian tour have been the low points," he said at the `Express Adda` interaction organised by the Indian Express Group. However, Jailtey felt that the criticism of the Cricket Board following the debacle `Down Under` was uncalled for.

"Media is getting too critical of BCCI. BCCI is a well managed sports institution. We have good systems in place. Australian tours have conventionally been difficult," he added.

India were whitewashed 0-4 by England in the four match Test series and they finished the entire tour without a single win. In Australia, they are battling to avoid a similar result having lost the first three Test matches of the four-match series.
