ED quizzes SRK over alleged irregularities in IPL-2

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan has been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with alleged irregularities in the holding of IPL-2.

"Shah Rukh appeared before us on Saturday and we recorded his statement in connection with IPL 2," an ED official told PTI. ED sources said that Khan has been asked to submit documents relating to the buying of players, advertising, profit and loss and share-holding pattern of his franchise to the agency in two weeks.

Indian Premier League season 2 was held in South Africa after the venue was shifted from India following security concerns. There have been allegations of ill-gotten money flowing into the T-20 tournament from foreign tax heavens.

Former BCCI president Shashank Manohar and cricketer Ravi Shastri, who were on the IPL governing council headed by Lalit Modi, have also been questioned in connection with alleged irregularities in the conduct of the cash-rich league.
