Who said what?
Opposition BJD and Congress rapped the budget presented by the BJP government by saying that there is nothing new in it.
“I would say about the State budget that it was double engine and double disappointment. I noticed that they have just renamed more than 40 of my government’s schemes,” said Leader of Opposition, Naveen Patnaik.
Senior Congress leader Tara Prasad Bahinipati also expressed his disappointment over the State budget.
“There is nothing new in the budget. There is no provision in the budget for the development of farmers and women. They have only changed the name of more than 40 schemes and raised the allocation amount in a few schemes. It is a budget only to cheat people,” said Bahinipati.
“The Rs 2.65 lakh crore budget presented by Odisha CM and Finance Minister, Mohan Majhi is for the 4.5 crore people of Odisha. Prioritising ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’ the budget has laid special emphasis on sections of people,” said BJP National VP & Kendrapara MP, Baijayant Panda.
