With capital city Bhubaneswar going to host several important events and welcome dignitaries including the Prime Minister and the Home Minister in the coming days, the temple city is all set to undergo an extensive beautification drive.
As per sources, the state government will give Rs 10 crore to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to carry out the drive.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are expected to attend the DGP conference to be held in Bhubaneswar, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is scheduled to visit on December 3.

For these high-profile visits and events, the city will be decked up. Starting from roads to walls, all will be decorated. Statues installed across the city will be illuminated.
The plans for these events were discussed in detail at the BMC meeting held on Monday.
